Tata Sponge Iron consolidated net profit rises 120.24% in the March 2018 quarter

Sales rise 45.66% to Rs 243.50 crore

Net profit of Tata Sponge Iron rose 120.24% to Rs 46.69 crore in the quarter ended March 2018 as against Rs 21.20 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2017. Sales rose 45.66% to Rs 243.50 crore in the quarter ended March 2018 as against Rs 167.17 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2017.

For the full year,net profit rose 139.71% to Rs 140.88 crore in the year ended March 2018 as against Rs 58.77 crore during the previous year ended March 2017. Sales rose 43.58% to Rs 800.17 crore in the year ended March 2018 as against Rs 557.31 crore during the previous year ended March 2017.
