Tech Mahindra, GAIL (India) to be watched after Q2 results

On a consolidated basis, Tech Mahindra's net profit rose 16.2% to Rs 785.60 crore on 5.1% rise in revenue to Rs 6615.50 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q1 June 2015. Earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) rose 16.5% to Rs 1101 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q1 June 2015. The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 3 November 2015. In dollar terms, net profit rose 12.3% to $119 million on 2.2% growth in revenue to $1011 million in Q2 September 2015 over Q1 June 2015. Revenue growth stood at 3% in constant currency terms on sequential basis.

 

GAIL (India)'s net profit dropped 66.19% to Rs 440.51 crore on 0.33% growth in total income to Rs 14466.68 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014. The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 3 November 2015. There was no subsidy sharing burden for GAIL (India) in Q2 September 2015. Petronet LNG will be watched after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) yesterday, 4 November 2015, said foreign investors can invest up to 30% of paid up capital of the company. RBI yesterday, 4 November 2015, notified that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/Registered Foreign Portfolios Investors (RFPIs) can invest up to 30% of the paid up capital of Petronet LNG under the Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS). RBI has further advised that the foreign shareholding by FIIs/RFPIs in Petronet LNG have gone below the revised threshold limit. Hence, the restrictions placed on the purchase of shares of the above company are withdrawn with immediate effect, RBI said in a statement.

RBI has stated that the company has passed resolutions at its board of directors' level and a special resolution by the shareholders, agreeing for enhancing the limit for the purchase of its equity shares and convertible debentures by FIIs/RFPIs. The purchases could be made through primary market and stock exchanges and would be subject to regulations, RBI said.

National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) said that the company has secured total business amounting Rs 481.25 crore (approximately) from various clients in the month of October 2015. The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 3 November 2015.

Aksh Optifibre said that the Stakeholders Relationship Committee of the board of directors of the company in its meeting held on 3 November 2015 has allotted 18.51 lakh equity shares of Rs 5 each, pursuant to the conversion of FCCBs aggregating $498,000. Tube Investments of India's net profit rose 6.71% to Rs 106.91 crore on 10.04% fall in total income to Rs 2237.72 crore in Q2 September 2015 over Q2 September 2014. The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 3 November 2015.
