Supreme Industries clocked volume of 3.05 lakh shares by 13:02 IST on BSE, a 27.14 times surge over two-week average daily volume of 11,000 shares. The stock rose 1.91% at Rs 681.80.
Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) notched up volume of 14.38 lakh shares, a 8.91-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 1.61 lakh shares. The stock rose 0.52% at Rs 97.10. A bulk deal of 14 lakh shares was executed on the GMDC counter at Rs 98 per share at 10:25 IST on BSE today, 8 May 2015.
Just Dial saw volume of 5.07 lakh shares, a 7.44-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of 68,000 shares. The stock advanced 2.16% at Rs 1,131.80
Titan Company clocked volume of 4.91 lakh shares, a 6.11-fold surge over two-week average daily volume of shares. The stock lost 4.62% at Rs 352.95. On a consolidated basis, Titan Company's net profit rose 11.06% to Rs 816.26 crore on 8.48% rise in total income to Rs 11984.16 crore in the year ended March 2015 over the year ended March 2014. The result was announced after market hours yesterday, 7 May 2015.
Punjab National Bank saw volume of 15.82 lakh shares, a 3.08-fold rise over two-week average daily volume of 5.14 lakh shares. The stock lost 6.15% at Rs 146.55. Punjab National Bank's net profit fell 61.98% to Rs 306.56 crore on 7.6% rise in total income to Rs 13455.65 crore in Q4 March 2015 over Q4 March 2014. The result was announced during market hours. The results would have been worse but for a hefty tax reversal. There was a tax reversal of Rs 938.06 crore in Q4 March 2015 as against tax expense of Rs 228.39 crore in Q4 March 2014.
