Katha publication house has come together with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to launch "I Love Reading Project".

Created for the students from class 4-12, the project envisages children participating in creative writing and translation competition through a series of events that will take place from August to December, it was announced Wednesday.

The registered CBSE schools will start Katha Clubs in their respective schools to see creative aptitude and those interested in reading and writing will be identified, guided and nurtured through this collaboration.

There will be competitions for creative fiction, Haiku poems and translations. The best entries from each school will be selected by the students themselves through a voting system.

Katha will provide samples for both writing and translation on its website for guidance.

The selected semi-finalists, accompanied by their teachers, will get to attend the regional writing workshops.

In December, Katha will host the Katha Utsav, a three-day workshop consisting of intensive classes for the finalists with literary experts from the field.
