Bangladeshi's allowed to carry up to $5,000 on foreign travel

Bangladesh nationals travelling abroad can now carry up to $5,000, a media report said Thursday.

The previous limit was $3,000, bdnews24 reported.

A Bangladesh Bank notification said if someone took less than $5,000, it was possible to take the rest of the permissible limit in other foreign currencies.

It said the permissible limit could be withdrawn by the traveller through credit or debit cards.
