Civic employee runover in Delhi

A 28-year-old employee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) was mowed down by a speeding car here, police said Sunday.

Amit Kumar, who got a job in the municipal corporation six months ago, was hit by the car around 6.45 p.m. Saturday in Ghazipur area of east Delhi.

The errant driver, Panchanand Yadav, was caught by passersby and handed over to police.

Kumar was a resident of Trilokpuri area in east Delhi.
