Czech general elections begins

The election for the Czech chamber of deputies started Friday, becoming the second early parliamentary election in the country's 20-year history, Xinhua reported.

The polling will take place Friday and Saturday.

A total of 5,899 candidates are in the fray for the 200 seats of the lower house. Most of the results will probably be known Saturday evening.
