To protest against the assault on Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash allegedly by two legislators of Delhi's ruling AAP, top bureaucrats in Haryana on Wednesday wore black badges to a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
At least 46 top most bureaucrats in the Haryana government wore the black badges to protest the assault.
Prakash was allegedly assaulted by AAP legislators at a meeting at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence, sparking protests on Tuesday and threats of a pen-down strike in government offices in the capital. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party denied the allegation even as the IAS Association claimed that the attack on Monday night was a "planned criminal conspiracy" against the top bureaucrat.
