Eight die in cracker shop fire in Vadodara

Eight persons were killed and three others injured in a fire at a fire crackers shop here in Gujarat on Friday, officials said.

The incident took place in Rustampura locality of Vadodara's Vaghodia area and the cause of fire is being ascertained.

Officials said since the shop was being run from a house, the fire also engulfed the second storey of the building. An LPG cylinder also exploded due to the fire.

Fire tenders were on the spot trying to douse the flames, fire brigade officials said.
