Ghaziabad police to acquire horses

The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has accepted the city police's request to provide them horses for better policing, an official said Wednesday.

GDA officer on special duty D.P. Singh said in principle, the GDA has agreed to provide police about a dozen best quality horses.

Providing horses is an onetime expenditure, he said, adding that recurring expenditure will be borne by the state government.
