Girl commits suicide after being stalked

A teenaged girl committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan after being harassed by a stalker, police said Thursday.

The body of the 15-year-old girl, a class 10 student, was spotted by her mother Wednesday night at their West Delhi's Uttam Nagar residence.

The girl's parents said their daughter was depressed due to the stalker, who they claim was a senior standard student of the same school.

Police said they were verifying the allegations.
