Indias Grandmaster Harika Dronavalli jumped four notches to the joint sixth spot after registering her first victory in the elite FIDE womens chess Grand Prix here.

Starting with white, she played a solid game to push local girl Natalia Zhukova into time pressure in the fourth round to win the game after 34 moves on Monday.

The Indian has two points in her kitty now, with one victory, one loss and two draws.

"I applied pressure on my opponent all through the game," Harika said, expectedly sounding pleased with the victory.

"As she rushed into her last few moves, I slowly outplayed her," she added.

Harika has a rest day on Wednesday and will take on China's Ju Wenjunin in the fifth round on Thursday.

Seven more rounds remain in this Grand Prix which has attracted the world's top players.
