Gunmen abduct former SPO in Shopian district

Gunmen on Friday abducted a former special police Officer (SPO) from south Kashmir Shopian district.

Police said Basharat Ahmad was abducted from Reben village. Efforts are on to trace the abducted former SPO, police said.

In the last fortnight, gunmen abducted nine people from south Kashmir areas. Seven of those abducted were released while two were killed.
