The national capital experienced a hot and sunny Friday as the maximum temperature was three notches above the season's average at 36.5 degrees. The Met Office has forecast light rain in some parts of the city on Saturday.
"The sky will remain generally cloudy tomorrow (Saturday) and light rain could occur in some areas," said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35 and 27 degrees Celsius.
Friday morning was sunny and the minimum temperature settled a notch above the season's average at 27.8 degrees Celsius. The maximum humidity was recorded at 81 percent.
Thursday's minimum temperature was 27.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, while the maximum temperature was 36.2 degrees Celsius, two levels above the season's average.
