India hikes FDI limit in insurance to 49 percent
India will hike foreign direct investment limit in the insurance sector to 49 percent from the existing 26 percent, Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma said Tuesday.
The decision was taken during a meeting of senior cabinet ministers chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
