Injured Bird sent back home from Ashes

Australia pacer Jackson Bird will return home from the Ashes series against England to receive treatment for a back injury.

"Jackson has had low back pain over the past week of The Ashes tour and will return to Australia today (Thursday) to begin the process of investigating the source of the pain and rehabilitation," Australian cricket team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said.
