Ink thrown at Health Minister Nadda in Bhopal

A female student of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here threw ink at Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, who was on a visit to the institution on Saturday.

The incident was reported around 1 p.m. when students were protesting against the hospital's administration over delay in operations of several departments at the hospital-cum-medical college.

"A student threw marker pen's ink on the minister and the senior officers of the hospital. However, only some drops of the ink fell on the minister. Security personnel later controlled the situation," said an eyewitness on condition of anonymity.

He said that some 50-60 students were protesting since the health minister reached the hospital.

 

"They tried to block the minister's car. However police controlled the situation by using mild force," said the eyewitness.

According to reports, two students were also injured by the car of the minister, which was not confirmed till this report was filed.
