It is a Modi win, says BJP

BJP spokesman says the party is confident of taking power in both Maharashtra and Haryana -- for the first time

The BJP said Sunday that its impending electoral victories in Maharashtra and Haryana showed people were enamoured of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"The results show people have faith in Modi's leadership," BJP spokesman Shahnawaz Hussain told the media here. "Just as people voted for him in the centre, they are looking for him in states too."

Hussain added that the Bharatiya Janata Party was confident of taking power in both Maharashtra and Haryana -- for the first time.
