Konta, Kvitova advance to Zhuhai WTA semis
British player Johanna Konta and Petra Kvitova of Czech defeated their respective opponents to advance into the semi-finals of the Women Tennis Association (WTA) Elite Trophy here on Friday.
Konta defeated Garcia 6-2, 6-2 and Kvitova prevailed over Strikova 6-1, 6-4, reports Efe.
Konta will face Elina Svetolina of Ukraine while Kvitova will meet China's Zhang Shuai in the semi-final on Saturday.
