Lightning kills two in Bengal

Two persons were on Tuesday killed in a lightning strike in West Bengal's West Midnapore district, police said.

"Two persons were killed in lightning strike while working in an open field in West Midnapore district's Chandrakona on Tuesday afternoon. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained," an officer from state police control said.

Heavy rain lashed parts Kolkata and other south Bengal districts on Tuesday afternoon, leaving many roads waterlogged.
