Militants Saturday killed a village headman in north Kashmir's Baramulla district, police said.
"Gulam Ahman Bhat, headman of Bomai village in Sopore district, was shot dead from close range by militants today morning. While being shifted to hospital, he succumbed to his bullet injuries," a senior police officer told IANS here.
The officer said that police have registered an FIR on the incident and an investigation has been initiated to identify the culprit.
