I-League club Mumbai FC have extended the contracts of goalkeeper Sanjiban Ghosh and defender Ritesh Perambra.

Perambra has been a part of Mumbai FC for a few years now. He climbed up the ladder and got promoted to the senior team in the 2012-13 season.

"It's been a great journey with this club. I have always been confident about my ability and I am at my peak right now. It's always good to maintain a certain level of consistency in football and I have always managed that," the 23-year-old defender said.

"Mumbai FC have maintained a core of players and have strengthened a lot during this transfer window. We obviously aim to achieve better results and get higher up the table in the upcoming season," he added.

Goalkeeper Sanjiban too was ecstatic on extending his new contract.

"This club gave me a very good opportunity to display my talent and hence I owe a lot to this club. I am playing at the highest level in Indian football and I couldn't be happier to extend my contract here. I am eagerly waiting for the season to begin," said the custodian.

Mumbai FC head coach Khalid Jamil was delighted on keeping the duo.

"Ritesh is a very consistent boy. He just keeps on improving by the day. Sanjiban has shown great attitude at this club. I see a bright future for him at this club. He just needs to keep working hard and compete," said the coach.
