National Awards: 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' named best popular film of 2015

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan-starrer "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" on Monday was named as the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment at the 63rd National Awards announcement here.

Directed by Kabir Khan, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", delves onto the concept of India and Pakistan, wherein Bajrangi (Salman) embarks on taking a mute six-year-old Pakistani girl (Harshaali Malhotra) separated in India from her mother back to her hometown in Pakistan.

The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
