Olimpia takes first place in Honduran league tournament

Olimpia defeated Universidad Pedagogica 1-0, grabbing the top spot in the Honduran Apertura football tournament standings.

Olimpia, which now has 10 points, had to work hard to overcome Universidad, which fought back and had several chances to tie the score, reports Efe.

The match at National Stadium on Wednesday mostly lacked excitement despite occasional offensive efforts by both clubs.

Kevin Alvarez scored for Olimpia in the 76th minute.
