With sporadic rain lashing parts of Delhi since Thursday morning, the city experienced pleasant weather with overcast sky and cool winds. The Met Office forecast more rain towards the evening.
"More rains are expected towards the evening... The skies will remain partly cloudy," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The day's maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35 degrees Celsius, the IMD official added.
The city received 9 mm of rainfall from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and this led to waterlogging and traffic jams in some parts of the city.
According to Delhi Police, water logging and traffic jams were reported from Badarpur, Mathura Road, outer Ring Road near Modi Flour Mills, Kalkaji, Ashram Chowk and Sarai Kale Khan in south Delhi, and Bhairon Marg in central Delhi.

The national capital has recorded 406 mm of rain in the monsoon so far. This is 75 percent more than the average, the official said.
Wednesday's maximum temperature settled three notches above the season's average at 37.2 degrees Celsius.
