Real Madrid held its final training session on Tuesday on the eve of the upcoming La Liga match against Sevilla, but without midfielder Isco Alarcon and defender Dani Carvajal.
The two Spain internationals were absent from training, as Isco was set for surgery after an appendicitis diagnosis while Carvajal practiced separately due to muscle discomfort, and both are expected to miss Wednesday's game, reports Efe.
Croatia midfielder Luka Modric attended the session, a day after he was proclaimed men's player of the year at The Best FIFA Football Awards, beating out five-time Ballon d'Or winner and former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo as well as Egypt's Mohamed Salah.
Head coach Julen Lopetegui led the first team's practice, which included forwards Mariano Diaz Mejia, Vinicius Junior and Gareth Bale, among others, as documented by an efe-epa photojournalist.
Los Blancos are to take on hosts Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
