Six killed in Meerut blaze

Six people, including four children, were killed on Monday when a fire broke out in a flat in Meerut's Kharkhauda area in Uttar Pradesh, police said.

Besides the children, two women were killed in the fire.

It took the fire brigade over two hours to douse the inferno, an official said.

During initial investigation, it came to light that flat owner Pervez used to stock some inflammable material in his house, he said.
