Singer Harry Styles has reportedly splurged 2.8 million pounds on a painting and he apparently sees the piece as "a smart investment".
The One Direction member bought late artist Jean-Michel Basquiat's painting at an auction last week, reports contactmusic.com.
"Harry's a big fan of art and sees it as a good way to make money. Rather than splurge, he thinks it's a smart investment. He already has a collection worth 150,000 pounds but that's nothing compared to this purchase," said a source.
