Tom Cruise confirmed for 'Mission: Impossible 5'

Actor Tom Cruise will reprise his role as secret agent Ethan Hunt in "Mission: Impossible 5".

The 50-year-old will star and produce the fifth installment of the franchise, while "Jack Reacher" writer and director Christopher McQuarrie will go behind the camera, reports deadline.com.

The "Mission: Impossible" series is the 13th highest grossing film series of all time with over $2 billion worth of worldwide gross.
