Troopers rescued from flood-hit International Border

Twenty eight troopers were on Friday rescued by the air force as flash floods hit areas near the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir.
Incessant rainfall and flash floods have caused the Basantar river in Samba district to swell.
"The army carried out three sorties of MI 17 helicopter today (Friday) to rescue 28 BSF (Border Security Force) troopers from inundated areas near the International Border in Ramgarh area," a defence spokesperson told IANS.
Over a dozen villages in the region have been flooded by the river.
