True wireless hearables to touch 129 mn units by 2020

The global market for true wireless is expected to reach a volume of 129 million units by 2020, driven by traditional wireless manufacturers - and Huawei, a report by said on Friday.

True wireless are in-headphones that don't have a cord connecting them either to the or to each other.

Currently, the most-preferred brand is with 19 per cent share, followed by with 17 per cent share and with a 16 per cent market share.

According to Counterpoint's "Emerging Opportunities" (ETO) report, would continue to dominate the market. The second-generation of AirPods and similar earbuds from other giants would be a catalyst for market growth.
