Woman shot at in Gurgaon, house burgled

A 43-year-old woman, the wife of a tax official, was Monday shot at and valuables robbed from her house here, police said.

Three motorbike-riding men entered the house in Sector 31 here Monday afternoon, when Savitri was alone at home.

"Savitri was shot at when she confronted the men. She was admitted to a private hospital where her condition is said to be stable," a police officer told IANS.

One of the robbers was known to the woman, police said.

A case has been registered but no one has been arrested so far.
