10, Janpath, reverse call

Till recently, a call from 10, Janpath was a sign of prestige for Congressmen. However, with hordes of senior leaders refusing to contest elections because of the stiff challenge from the Bharatiya Janata Party, the joke doing the rounds in the Congress headquarters is that a call from 10, Janpath is a sure-shot sign of trouble. As a party functionary quipped, many leaders, it seems, are even scared of responding to calls from 10, Janpath because they might be forced to contest in the upcoming elections.
