Letters: Different war cry

This refers to the report "War of words escalates, PM wades into row over AAP funding" (February 4). Election campaigning by the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Aam Aadmi Party is reaching high decibel levels with claims and counter-claims. I am reminded of two admirable quotes by the late Adlai Stevenson of the US, who said: "The hardest thing about any political campaign is how to win without proving that you are unworthy of winning". To the Opposition candidate, he said: "If you stop telling lies about us, we will stop telling the truth about you."
