Maybe businessmen are taking a tip from politicians in leveraging big marriage ceremonies to useful purpose. With the general elections less than half a year away, a prominent United Progressive Alliance cabinet minister from Uttar Pradesh had to attend 36 weddings in one single day. Not surprisingly, by the time the minister did the rounds, the bride had left in at least three of the weddings.
