CM Raman Singh takes dig at Rahul Gandhi's roadshows in Chhattisgarh

The Congress party is cautious and hence did not bet on any single leader

Soon after Congress President Rahul Gandhi landed in Chhattisgarh last week, a tweet from Chief Minister Raman Singh spoke of the suspense prevailing in the state for long: Who will be the Congress’ face in Chhattisgarh when it goes to the polls in November? 

“Dekho Chhattisgarh aur seekho vikas (see Chhattisgarh and take a lesson from development),” Singh lobbed at Gandhi. The attack continued during the Congress president’s 34-hour stay in the state. Another volley from Singh suggested changing the coach of the team that continuously faces defeat. The statement was in the backdrop of the Karnataka mandate.
