AAP said that even a few BSP and Congress workers belonging to the North East constituency in Delhi joined the party

Many Janata Dal (Secular) party workers from Delhi joined the Aam Aadmi Party today.
The AAP, in a press note, said that "led by its state president and chairman of the All India Muslim Ekta Manch, Haji Ikram Hasssan, hundreds of JD(S) workers" joined the party here.
Many senior state level leaders have offered their support to the party, including JD(S) Delhi unit vice-president Haji Mohammad Yamin, secretaries Afzal Siddiqui, Haji Muteja and Kishan Lal.
"Our party has considerable presence in South India (Karnataka), but does not have the same effect in Delhi. Also, we support AAP and Arvind Kejriwal in his movement against corruption for which we have joined the party," Hasan, who joined the party told news agency PTI.
The party said that even a few Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress workers belonging to the North East constituency in Delhi joined the party. This seat is represented by party leader and professor Anand Kumar.
"AAP is willing to welcome political activists with a clean track record into its fold who are ready to work for the eradication of corruption and communalism from the society," said Dilip Pandey, party's Delhi secretary.
