Priyaranjan Dasmunshi's brother joins TMC

Younger brother of ailing Congress leader Congress leader and former union minister Priyaranjan Dasmunshi joined Trinamool Congress (TMC) today.

Six other Congress leaders also joined TMC along with Satyaranjan Dasmunshi.

TMC secretary Mukul Roy said, with the joining of Dasmunshi, who hails from Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal, the party would become more stronger.The state Congress leadership has expressed displeasure over Satyaranjan Dasmunshi joining TMC. State Congress President Pradip Bhattacharjee said "Satyaranajan was never a member of Congress, we really don't know what prompted him to join Trinamool."

"It was expected that Satyaranjan being the brother of Priyaranajan Dasmunsi, would have joined Congress as he is the brother of a person who had spent more than half of his life in Congress," he added.
