Deepak Patel appointed COO at MphasiS

Bangalore: MphasiS, a leading provider of IT services and BPO solutions, today announced the appointment of Deepak Patel as its Chief Operating Officer.

Deepak has twenty years of experience in the information technology sector and his professional services span roles as diverse as infrastructure outsourced operations, consulting services, alliance management, sales and marketing and manufacturing engineering.

Speaking on the appointment, Jerry Rao, CEO, MphasiS said, "We are extremely happy to have Deepak Patel head our Operations. He brings with him valuable experience across diverse positions and will play a key role in leading MphasiS post the recent merger of EDS "� India and MphasiS."

In my past positions I have played a key role in increasing both top line and bottom line performance and will ensure that my business acumen combined with my finance and technology skills are utilized to the maximum at MphasiS."


Prior to his current role, Deepak was Vice President, Best ShoreSM Strategic Investments and Business Development at EDS in addition to other positions at EDS. He was also Principal/Senior Manager, SAP Practice at Price Waterhouse, LLP and prior to that Senior SE & Chief Technologies, Manufacturing Technology Group at EDS in addition to other positions.

Deepak has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from M.S. University of Baroda.
