Odisha approves investment of Rs 537 crore

The decisions were taken at a meeting of the Single Window Clearance Authority presided over by Chief Secretary B K Patnaik.
The SWCA approved a proposal for a steel project by Ambo Steel & Power group.
The Kolkata based group proposed to to set up an iron ore beneficiation and a pelletization plant of 1.20 million tonne capacity each, besides a 12 MW captive power plant at Barkot in Deogarh district.
The group proposed an investment of Rs 477.92 crore, chairman of Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha Ltd C J Venugopal said.
