10 injured in clash over Muharram procession

Ten people were today injured after members of a community clashed and indulged into brick batting over Muharram procession in Prem Nagar area here, police said.

Two groups belonging to the same community clashed with each other over the issue of the religious procession, Additional Superintendent of Police Rajiv Malhotra said.

They later indulged into brick batting in Bankhana locality this afternoon, injuring 10 people on the spot, he said.

A case has been lodged against the accused, police said adding that nine people have been detained so far.
