10 people, including 3 children, die in two accidents in UP

Ten people, including three children, were today killed and six others injured in two separate accidents in Fatehpur and Shahjahanpur districts, police said here.

The children -- Prince (12), Chhote (14) and Kalui (15) -- were killed on the spot when a speeding jeep lost control and overturned on them in village Pariwapur in Bakewar area of Fatehpur district, they said.

A case has been registered and efforts were on to trace the driver of the vehicle.

In other incident in Shahjahanpur district, seven persons were killed and six others injured when an army truck hit a tempo and two motorcycles near Pradhan dbaha in Sarovar Nagar in Tilhar area, they said.
 

Seven persons riding the tempo died on the spot, while six injured have been admitted to hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable, police said.

The deceased could not be identified, they added.
