11 killed in a road accident in Bihar

Eleven person, including six women and two minors, were killed and 13 others injured when a tractor trolley which was ferrying them collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction on the national highway 2 in Rohtas district of Bihar today.

The incident took place near Aunwa village when the victims, residents of Kusma village of Bhojpur district, were returning to their native place after performing puja at Guptadham in Rohtas district early this morning, Sasaram Sub-divisional Officer Amarendra Mishra said.

Eleven persons, including six women and two minors, died on the spot.

All the 13 injured were initially admitted to the Sasaram sadar hospital. Later doctors referred two seriously injured persons to the Patna Medical College and Hospital, he said.
 

The truck driver fled with the vehicle.
