11-year-old boy falls from roof, dies

An 11-year-old boy fell from the roof of his house while playing following which he died here, police said today.

Sanjat, a resident of Kacha Dalip Nager of Mandi Gobindgarh town, was seriously injured after he fell from the roof of the house last evening, Assistant Sub-Inspector Baldev Singh said.

He was admitted to Civil Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh but due to his critical condition he was referred to Government Hospital, Chandigarh where he succumbed to his injuries today.

The deceased's body was handed over to his relatives after post-mortem examination, the ASI said.
