23,988 people have been imparted skill training in Delhi during the last three years under the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM), as against 14.22 lakh of them in the country, Lok Sabha was informed today.
547 beneficiaries in Delhi were also assisted to set up individual and group micro-enterprises under these programmes during the last three years as against 3.02 lakh in the country, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Babul Supriyo said in a written reply.
The Minister also informed that as against the total central assistance of Rs 2,157 cr released during the last three years, States and Union Territories utilised Rs 1,494 cr under these programmes.
The Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) was later converted into NULM in September last year.
