15 structures damaged in J&K avalanche, no loss of life

At least 15 structures were damaged by an avalanche in north Kashmir's Bandipora district, police said today.

Six houses and a shop were damaged while eight other residential houses partially affected due to the avalanche at Sardab village in Bandipora late last night, they said.

No loss of life was reported as the families had already shifted to safer places following avalanche warning by the authorities, police said.
