18 peacocks found dead near TN forest

Eighteen peacocks were found dead in a pathway to a forest area at Kondalanguppam in this district today, police said.

They said the peacocks were found dead near a grove and suspected that the birds might have been poisoned for removing their feathers.

The carcasses had been sent for post-mortem, police said.
