2 dead, 40 injured as Haryana Roadways bus falls into river

Two persons were killed and 40 others injured after a Haryana Roadways bus fell into River Begna near Naraingarh today, police said.

The incident took place as the driver lost control over the vehicle and the bus fell into the river, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Naraingarh, Mukesh Kumar said.

Some of the seriously injured have been rushed to hospitals at Naraingarh and Chandigarh's PGIMER, he said.

The bus was headed from Naraingarh to Ambala City and was carrying over 50 passengers.
