Two teenagers were killed and another was seriously injured as the bike they were riding skidded on a flyover in east Delhi's Geeta Colony area.
The trio, identified as Abdul Ghalib (16), his brother Hayat (14) and cousin Bittu (15), were returning home after Shab-e-Barat prayers yesterday night when their bike skidded on the flyover resulting in death of Hayat and Bittu while Ghalib suffered serious injuries.
Police received a call from a passerby at around 4.50 am and rushed the boys to a hospital where doctors declared Hayat and Bittu dead. Ghalib is undergoing treatment for his injuries and his condition is stated to be out of danger.

They had told their family members that they were going to Jama Masjid to attend Shab-e-Baraat prayers. They had not told anyone about their plan to ride a borrowed bike together, police said.
Police suspect Bittu was riding the bike when the accident took place. Parents of Ghalib and Hayat live at Geeta Colony's Rani Garden. Bittu was a resident of Brijpuri in northeast Delhi and had visited his cousins on the occasion of Shab-e-Baraat.
None of the teenagers killed in the accident were having licences to ride motorcycle and were not wearing helmets. They were riding the motorcycle at a high speed, a police officer said.
