The deep marks on the neck of the body hinted that the girl was strangulated but it will be confirmed only after the post mortem report is received, he said.
The doctors after preliminary enquiry ruled out any sexual assault on the minor girl. Police also denied this.
The family members and relatives of the girl who were joined by locals at the hospital protested on seeing her body. Policemen were deployed to bring the situation under control.
We are probing the case and trying to talk to the father and other family members of the girl to find out any reason behind her abduction and murder. The role of a person close to the family can not be denied as chances are that the girl was victim of some personal enmity, added the officer.
